Given that I remember reading that he came up with the "pimp" cane and the long hair, that makes sense.
I'd be interested to see if they take the same costuming ideas insofar as setting the WW back a few decades (so the 1920s would have wizards and witches (more so witches) wearing more Victorian garb).
Anyway, just discovered the blog, quite enjoy it, hope you don't mind the very late comment.Melfina the Bluenoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1084418948126858292.post-65551162494992378042013-12-05T08:37:29.087-08:002013-12-05T08:37:29.087-08:00Great, we're on the same page then. I know it seems that way froom media portrayals and school texts, but (surprise, surprise) they have it wrong. There have been South East Asians in Britain since the first Indian sailors signed on with trading ships. There have been Chinese since at least the Napoleonic wars (and a Chinese university graduate in the 1850s), Turks since the days of Queen Elizabeth, and on and on. London's been multi-culti for centuries, even if not to the degree it is now.Kate Y.noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1084418948126858292.post-18447266131538674792013-10-02T16:42:25.326-07:002013-10-02T16:42:25.326-07:00Agree with The Literary Omnivore - there is defini...Agree with The Literary Omnivore - there is definitely a 70s vibe going on.

I think mid-century boarding school combined with gang of detectives - sort of Mallory Towers & the Famous Five combined.

We are sharing everything Harry Potter at Empty Your Archive this week and I would love for you to link this up - Alice @ Mums Make Lists

http://mumsmakelists.blogspot.co.uk/2013/10/empty-your-archive-26.htmlMums make listsnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1084418948126858292.post-90293450719160885492013-09-23T02:41:10.706-07:002013-09-23T02:41:10.706-07:00I have seen harry potter movie.
